Renormalized Harmonic-Oscillator Description of Confined Electron Systems with Inverse-Square Interaction

چکیده
An integrable model for SU(ν) electrons with inverse-square interaction is studied for the system with confining harmonic potential. We develop a new description of the spectrum based on the renormalized harmonic-oscillators which incorporate interaction effects via the repulsion of energy levels. This approach enables a systematic treatment of the excitation spectrum as well as the ground-state quantities.

Solution of strongly nonlinear oscillator problem arising in Plasma Physics with Newton Harmonic Balance Method
In this paper, Newton Harmonic Balance Method (NHBM) is applied to obtain the analytical solution for an electron beam injected into a plasma tube where the magnetic field is cylindrical and increases towards the axis in inverse proportion to the radius. Periodic solution is analytically verified and consequently the relation between the Natural Frequency and the amplitude is obtained in an ana...
متن کاملUniversal description of S-wave meson spectra in a renormalized light-cone QCD-inspired model
A light-cone QCD-inspired model, with the mass squared operator consisting of a harmonic oscillator potential as confinement and a Dirac-delta interaction, is used to study the S-wave meson spectra. The two parameters of the harmonic potential and quark masses are fixed by masses of ρ(770), ρ(1450), J/ψ, ψ(2S), K(892) and B. We apply a renormalization method to define the model, in which the ps...
متن کاملDescription of Identical Particles via Matrix Model : Generalization of Sutherland System
We elaborate the idea that matrix gauge theories provide a natural framework to describe identical particles. After demonstrating the general prescription, we study an exactly solvable harmonic oscillator type gauged matrix model. We show the model gives a generalization of the Sutherland system where the strength of the inverse square potential is not fixed but dynamical bounded by below. ∗Ele...
متن کاملTruncated Calogero-Sutherland models
A one-dimensional quantum many-body system consisting of particles confined in a harmonic potential and subject to finite-range two-body and three-body inverse-square interactions is introduced. The range of the interactions is set by truncation beyond a number of neighbors and can be tuned to interpolate between the Calogero-Sutherland model and a system with interactions among nearest and nex...
متن کاملSpatial confinement effects on quantum field theory using nonlinear coherent states approach
We study some basic quantum confinement effects through investigation a deformed harmonic oscillator algebra. We show that spatial confinement effects on a quantum harmonic oscillator can be represented by a deformation function within the framework of nonlinear coherent states theory. Using the deformed algebra, we construct a quantum field theory in confined space. In particular, we find that...
